Organizational History

Charity International Ministries was founded in 2004 as three friends felt inspired with one vision: to care for the less fortunate children in Haiti. These friends shared a dream to help both the children who were most vulnerable and the community. They believed in the philosophy that every positive seed that is seed and watered shall become a tree a bare fruit. Through much effort, sacrifice and prayer the doors to our first Orphanage site was opened in 2005 in La Pleine.

The Orphanage has relocated to Tabar in 2008 and Arcahaie in 2010.

Our short term goal is to purchase land to build suitable and permanent housing, a church, school and medical clinic. Our long term goals include extending the facilities to include a vocational school, recreation center, and a food bank to serve the neighboring community. In order to equip the locals to be independent we must provide them with tools they can utilize to sustain a better a life.

We currently have 12 children ranging from elementary to secondary school age children. There is a dormitory where we provide room and board for all the children, under the care of our on site staff. The program also provides clothing and access to private medical care for all the children.

They attend worship services at the local church and participate in age appropriate church activities where they are taught the word of God.

At Charity International Ministries we seek to develop the children’s self-esteem by fostering a sense of community. Each child is a child of God and is worthy of a supportive atmosphere in order to succeed in life; we cannot ignore their needs. These services are made possible through donations by sponsors. We ask that all those who believe these same core values to support our cause and keep us in your prayer.

As Matthew 25:40 states “The King will reply, ‘Truly I tell you, whatever you did for one of the least of these brothers and sisters of mine, you did for me.’
